Comilla University is a state-funded college situated at Kotbari, Comilla, Bangladesh. The college was built on 50 sections of land (20 ha) of land at Shalbon Bihar, Moynamoti. Comilla University is partnered by University Grants Commission, Bangladesh.
Golam Mowlah is the originator bad habit chancellor of Comilla University who served until the point that he was evacuated on 30 July 2008. Zulfikar Ali, a teacher of arithmetic, was given the charge as acting Vice-Chancellor. The following bad habit chancellor of Comilla University, A.K.M. Zehadul Karim proclaimed his renunciation on 7 October 2009 after a noteworthy savagery in grounds. Amir Hussein Khan, a teacher of Physics branch of Jahangirnagar University, was delegated as Vice-Chancellor on 22 November 2009. After termination of the span of Amir Hussein Khan then Ali Ashraf, an educator of Economics division and Ex-President of Chittagong University Teachers Association has been delegated as the fifth Vice-Chancellor of Comilla University. He joined the college on 3 December 2013. The chancellor of the college is President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid.
It began with 7 utilitarian divisions. Presently there are an aggregate of 19 divisions Under 6 resources including Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Pharmacy, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance and Banking, Accounting and Information Systems (AIS), Marketing, Management Studies, Media and Journalism, Law, Economics, Public Administration, Archeology, Anthropology, Bengali, and English.
The university formally started its journey on 28 May 2007, through an orientation program for the 2006–07 academic year with 300 students and 15 teachers enrolled in 7 departments under 4 faculties.

Requirements For Admission Test
- Unit A: Candidates must have total GPA 6.50 with 4th subject in SSC and HSC level exams.
- Unit B: Candidates must have total GPA 6.00 with 4th subject in SSC and HSC level exams.
- Unit C: Candidates must have total GPA 6.00 with 4th subject in SSC and HSC level exams.
For GCE level “O” Concerned competitors need to go in 5 subjects and level “A” needs to go no less than 2 subjects. Both of the 2 levels Concerned competitors need to pass 7 subjects and need to get review “B” in 4 subjects.
