According to the local people, the Zamindars who lived in the Mohera Zamindar Bari started their Zamindaris near 1880. The name of the first Zamindar who was also the first Zamindar to live in the Mohera Zamindar Bari was Kalichoron Shaha. They used to own lands, and also were involved in trading jute and salt.
The Mohera Zamindar Bari has several main buildings. Tourists can identify them with the names mentioned below-
Chowdhury Lodge– Immediately after entering the Mohera Zamindar Bari tourists will be able to see this Lodge; the pillars of the Lodge beautifully created in the Greek/Roman style colored in pink which gives a sense of vibrancy as well as antiquity. The front pillars are amazing to look at. The Chowdhury Lodge has two stored building with a beautiful garden in front of it and also a playground where tourists can relax, and children can play.
Ananda Lodge– According to many past tourists and the local people this Lodge is considered as the most stylish and ostentatious Lodge within the Zamindar Bari. It has eight beautiful columns with a touch of white and blue. The color is just stunning, and a feast for the eyes. The most attractive part of this Lodge is the hanging veranda on the second floor of this Lodge. Like the previous Lodge, this building also has a garden in front of it filled with beautiful flowers and green grasses. There are also significant nut trees in front of the building and overall this Lodge is magnificent in its appearance which is sure to attract those tourists who love antique places as well as looking for a quiet environment.
Maharaj Lodge– This is another Lodge with immense beauty and wonder. Tourists will notice the pink color of the building which gives a unique sense of antiquity. This Zamindar Bari carries a vibrancy which seldom can be noticed in Zamindar Baris all throughout Bangladesh. Besides the garden located in the Maharaj Lodge, there is a tennis court which was built at the time when the Zamindars used to live on the premise. The stairs in front of the building have a curved railing which is immensely beautiful and adds more exquisiteness to this Lodge. The Maharaj Lodge is built in Byzantine design, amazing to observe at and the interior of all the lodges in the Mohera Zamindar Bari is remarkable.

These have amazing gardens in front of them with beautiful flowers of various colors, mainly pink. How to go to Mohera Zamindar Bari
Many buses from Moakhali Bus Terminal in Dhaka can quickly take the tourists to the Mohera Zamindar Bari. For example Dhaleswari Service, Jhotika Service, AC BRTC which tourists can avail not at Moakhali Bus Stand but Kollanpur Bus Stand, etc. These buses will take tourists to Natia Para at Pakulla. From Natia Para bazaar tourists will be able to find auto rickshaw locally known as CNG, Tempo, and Rickshaw which will easily take tourists to Mohera Zamindar Bari. The overall journey will not take more than three and a half hours, five-hour maximum if traffic remains on the road to a large extent.
