Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) Overview
Officially the Sylhet Agricultural University began its formal operation as an academic institution on 2 November 2006 after the issuance of a notice by the Government according to the “Sylhet Agricultural University Act 2006” which was passed in the National Parliament on 3 October 2006. As a matter of fact, the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science has appeared through the gradual progression of Sylhet Government Veterinary College (SGVC).
In the Sylhet Agricultural University the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science has made remarkable progress. Such a discipline is unique and truly the graduates of this discipline has been, till now, very successful paving the way for more graduates. Sylhet Government Veterinary College, now the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science in Sylet Agricultural University has so far created about 400 graduates. Alumni of this college have gone ahead to vocations or research in domesticated animals creation, up degree, treatment, farming sub-frameworks, and the agro-based economy. They are associated with different national and global administrations extending from the common support of the RVFC (Remount Veterinary and Farm Core). By and by around 2000 undergrad and 50 temporary position understudies are selected at the college.

Requirements For Admission Test
- Interested applicants should pass SSC/Equivalent exam and HSC/Equivalent exam to give examination in Sylhet Agricultural University for this year.
- Students must have minimum GPA 3:00 in SSC and HSC separately and total GPA 6:50 with 4th subject.
