Bangladesh Agricultural University Overview
Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) is the premier seat of higher agricultural education and research in the country. The main task of the university is to tone up the quality and standard of higher agricultural education and to produce first-rate agriculturists, agricultural scientists and researchers for shouldering the responsibilities of agricultural development of the country. The missions of university have been to develop the art and science of agriculture for the well being of mankind, and to educate agriculturists of high standards of scientific, managerial and professional competence in harmony with the environment, and to share knowledge and skills with world partners. As Bangladesh is an agro based economy primarily and there are more prospects opening up socially and economically in agriculture departments/sectors of Bangladesh Agricultural University can pave a way for a better future for this nation. Young minds can pursue the knowledge of agriculture and this university provides a brilliant space for them.
Bangladesh Agricultural University was established as the East Pakistan Agricultural University on 18 August 1961. The present name was adpoted in 1972. The University is 4 kilometer south of the Mymensingh town and occupied 1200 Acres areas by the side of Old Brahamputra river. It consists of 6 faculties and 41 departments. Among them, 8 departments belong the faculty of Veterinary Science, 15 belong to Agriculture, 5 belong to Animal Husbandry, 5 belong to Ari-Econ & Rural Sociology, 4 belong to Agri-Engineering & Technology and 4 belong to Fisheries faculty. The number of total academic staffs is 394. The university has already produced 12, 028 graduates, 3,508 postgraduates (M.Sc./M.S.) and 44 Ph.D.
Around 90 different research projects are now in progress under the supervision of BAU Research System (BAURES). The BAU is operating agriculture extension programmes in 22 villages of Mymensingh Sadar thana under the direct supervision of BAU Extension Center (BAUEC).The BAU already conducted 296 training & short term pre-service and in-service courses, including 14 international courses through the Graduate Training Institute.

Requirements For Admission Test
- Interested applicants should pass SSC/Equivalent exam and HSC/Equivalent exam to give examination in Bangladesh Agricultural University for this year.
- Applicants who passed SSC and HSC with CGPA 9.00 can qualify for apply.
- Candidates must have Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry & Biology with minimum grade B.

Every applicant should be applied for their expected subjects/department through official website https://admission.bau.edu.bd/
Admission process will happen a total 200 marks. Admission test will be held in 100 marks out of total 200 marks. Other 100 will produce by SSC & HSC results of candidates.
After the Admission test, Bangladesh Agricultural University Admission Test Result will be published on their official website (https://admission.bau.edu.bd/).
